Insurance policy overview
A high-level explanation of how insurance typically applies to Sotiris Cars rentals.
1. Coverage structure
All rentals are accompanied by an insurance structure that meets or exceeds local requirements. The exact cover, excess amounts and exclusions vary by vehicle and partner and will be detailed in your booking documentation.
2. Named drivers
Only named and approved drivers are covered to drive the vehicle. Adding drivers may require additional checks or fees. Driving by individuals not listed in the agreement may invalidate cover and is not permitted.
3. Exclusions and guest responsibilities
Typical exclusions include driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, using the vehicle for unauthorised commercial purposes, taking part in racing or track activity, or ignoring local traffic laws. Damage arising from excluded activities may not be covered and could fall fully to the guest.
4. Excess and damage handling
Where a covered incident occurs, you may be responsible for an excess up to an agreed amount. The concierge team will help coordinate repairs and documentation. The deposit policy explains how any applicable excess may be collected using pre-authorised funds.
5. International guests and licences
International guests must ensure they hold valid licences and, where required, international driving permits. Failure to hold appropriate documentation can affect insurance validity. Requirements will be outlined during the booking process.
6. Questions and confirmations
For any specific questions about coverage for your stay, please contact the concierge. They will liaise with insurance partners and confirm the relevant position in writing. This page is a general guide only and does not form part of an insurance contract.
